
Digitized Library of Congress version of a c.1879 Taintor’s Route and City Guides: The Hudson River Route: New York to West Point, Catskill Mts., Albany, Saratoga, Lake George, Lake Champlain, Adirondack Mts., Mount Mansfield, Green Mts., Montreal and Quebec.
Taintor’s Guide Books highlighted popular tourism routes in the late 19th and early 20th century. In addition to maps and images, the books offered descriptions of various attractions along the routes, including historic sites, cultural institutions and natural curiousities.
